About the role
234 Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented Application Tester to help us deliver reliable, user-friendly software. You will test our applications, identify defects, and work with developers to ensure features meet requirements before release.
Responsibilities
Review requirements and create clear test cases and checklists. Test application features, forms, workflows, and user permissions. Perform functional, regression, integration, and usability testing across relevant browsers and devices. Document bugs with reproduction steps, screenshots or recordings, and expected versus actual results. Retest fixes and check that changes do not break existing functionality. Work with developers and product stakeholders to clarify issues and verify acceptance criteria. Report testing progress, unresolved defects, and release risks. Identify opportunities to improve test coverage and introduce automation.
Requirements
Practical experience testing web or mobile applications, demonstrated through previous work, internships, or personal projects. Understanding of software testing principles and the bug lifecycle. Ability to write clear test cases and reproducible bug reports. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills. Familiarity with issue tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms. Ability to work independently and collaborate with developers. Nice to Have Experience testing HR, payroll, recruitment, or other business applications. Familiarity with API testing using Postman or similar tools. Basic SQL knowledge for checking application data. Exposure to automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium. Awareness of accessibility, performance, and security testing.
